About Me

Welcome to Emma’s Cake Studio!

Hi, I’m Emma! I’ve always believed that food tells a story, and mine started long before Emma’s Cake Studio.

I’ve traveled to over 100 countries, and everywhere I go, I look for the best desserts.

I’ve tasted baklava in Istanbul, pastel de nata in Lisbon, and mochi in Kyoto.

I’ve stood in tiny bakeries watching pastry chefs work, asked home cooks about the recipes passed down through generations, and learned that great baking is about more than technique—it’s about story, culture, and patience.

How It All Started

Emma’s Cake Studio actually came about because I just love baking, and I really believe in the magic of homemade desserts. Some of the best memories are spent in the kitchen with my grandma, picking up her secret recipes, and seeing how she could turn flour, butter, and sugar into the coolest treats.

Those amazing moments triggered my love for baking and taught me the importance of bonding people through food.

I started this blog as a way to document these beautiful moments-when family recipes feel cozy, trying something for the very first time is such a delight, and the look of satisfaction when people savor what I’ve prepared. I believe everyone can create something delicious with a little guidance, and that’s what I’m here for.

Why You Can Trust Me

With over 15 years of baking experience, from home kitchen experiments to professional-level decorating, I’ve gathered the tips and techniques that make baking fun and approachable for everyone. While I’m not a formally trained chef, my expertise comes from hands-on experience, countless hours spent testing recipes, and a deep passion for perfecting every cake, cookie, and pastry I share. I believe in explaining every detail, so you always feel confident when you try out one of my recipes.

I also make it a point to research and test every recipe thoroughly. If you see it on this site, you can trust that it’s been lovingly created, carefully tested, and truly worth making.

To bring each dessert to life visually, my team and I use a mix of photography, editing, and smart tools that help highlight the details you’d notice if the cake were right in front of you.

A Little More About Me

Emma wearing a light gray apron rolls out dough with a wooden rolling pin on a floured countertop ina Emma's cake studio, with a bowl of flour beside her.

Other than being covered in a cloud of flour and sugar in the kitchen, you can find me globe-trotting! My husband and I really love traveling, and I feel so blessed to have seen 102 countries so far, and I am still counting.

I am always on the lookout for new flavors, cool desserts, and baking traditions that locals do to inspire something for my stuff back home. From fancy pastry shops in Paris to street sweets in Southeast Asia, it’s always an adventure that molds my recipes and builds up an adrenaline rush while baking.
