Editorial Guidelines

These guidelines explain how recipes and articles on Emma’s Cake Studio are created, checked, and kept up to date, and how the site is funded.

Recipe Development and Testing

Recipes are researched and tested before publishing. Each recipe card lists ingredients with exact US measurements, step by step instructions, prep and cook times, and yield. Articles explain the method, the role of key ingredients, how to tell when something is done, and how to fix common problems.

Nutrition Information

Nutrition values on recipe cards are estimates calculated automatically from the listed ingredients. They change with brands, substitutions, and portion sizes, and they are not a substitute for advice from a medical or nutrition professional.

Photos and Visuals

To show each dessert clearly, we use a mix of photography, editing, and smart tools. Images are there to help you see the finished texture and key steps.

Updates and Corrections

Recipes and articles are reviewed and updated regularly, often based on questions and feedback from readers. If you spot a mistake or something does not work as described, please email hey@emmascakestudio.com or use the contact page. Corrections are made as quickly as possible.

Comments and Reader Questions

Reader comments are moderated to keep them helpful and free of spam. Questions about recipes are answered in the comments whenever possible.

Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure

Emma’s Cake Studio is free to read and is supported by advertising. Ads are managed by Mediavine, and advertisers have no influence over which recipes we publish or what we write about them. The site also offers its own recipe eBooks in the shop. If a post contains affiliate links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
